Help with information on a Ralph Edwards G-1

I just purchased my first vintage issued jacket, a Ralph Edwards G-1, and I'd like some help identifying the date this jacket was made. The tag is very worn and just barely legible. The bottom line appears to read DLA1OD-84-**6*5. Would this mean the jacket was made in 1984? Or was the date of manufacture on the line above that? Further confusing me on the issue is that a Google search indicates that Ralph Edwards had the contract to produce G-1's for the Navy in 1961 through 1964. Were they...
