Recently I came across with an eBay listing of a BK aero 16160 in victory HH and was fortunate to win it :)

The victory HH is something I have wanted for a while but the higher price point and the discontinuation have made it a desire unfulfilled. Right out of the packaging there is a strong victory HH scent as advertised in BK website. The HH is less grainy compared to my shinki jackets when new. There's a depth of color when seen in sunlight, which looks like a result of a light seal...

Quality of Avirex A-2 Jackets

I joined the forum because I recently picked up a vintage Avirex A-2 made out of horsehide online. What should I be expecting from a jacket like this? Is it up the quality of a newer Aero jacket or Schotts?

Any 'Zip Whisperers' out there..

Gents,

Bought a basically unworn BR L-2A and the zip had issues. Coming apart after the zipper slides past. Have run the left side of the jacket through the right side of the zipper on my 9th TFS L-2A and it stared doing the same. That is with TWO different zippers. Worked it until the new side ran through my old zipper puller with no issues. Did the pencil thing and it worked a treat. Then moved it back to the other zipper and it is doing the same. Will give it a bit of 'squeeze' and see...

Any 'Zip Whisperers' out there..

Original Colors

I've been looking at the various colors of originals and wonder if the lighter russet is the result of fading, or did they come this way? With nearly all the repo manufacturers russet is a chocolate color, the exception being Headwinds light russet brown horsehide. How authentic would this have been in real life, original issue models? A bit hard to tell because I can't lift up the pocket flaps in the photos to check...

I purchased this size 48 Aero USN Type M422a jacket "like new" off a member on the old forum waaaayyyy back before it got wiped. Sadly upon receiving it, I wasn't crazy with the fit at the time and then proceeded to gain enough weight to make it unwearable. However, I kept it around in my closet and it's basically never been worn out & about either by the original owner or by me. I've lost about 35lbs over the course on 2019, and I can actually wear the jacket again, so I'm pondering what to...

Got this off Boyo. Arrived today. Very pleased. Need to say that he’s a crackingly good chap to deal with and shipped stupidly quickly.
Quick pick of the jacket out of the box. Fit pics (reluctantly) when i next see decent natural light..... might be a while in England ;)
Sized as 48” chest, it fits exactly as a normal 46” chest would - which makes me very happy. Replaces a 46” i had which was just too small for me. This size gives me room for a shirt & sweater in winter and t-shirt in...

Another find when reorganising my mancave:

"Virgil Hilts" wannabe helmet bag manufactured my "NON STOCK" in China

I almost forgot i own it - was available for about 3 months only in 2014 in China and was discontinued then

It dangles from a hook in my closet since then - was never used

Besides being "Phantasie" it is - concerning Quality - on the same Level with the much more expensive bags i saw from TRMcCoy

Leather is soft, lining appears to be Cotton, Hardware of shoulderstrap is...

Whilst browsing my old computer i found some pics of the first two BD B10's i owned ...

I got the jackets in 2014 and as can be seen, there is a huge difference inbetween the stuff they produce today compared to the somehow "rough" Details on this early versions:

one of the jackets came with a HUUUUUGE "AF Meatball" otherwise plain except the also HUUUUGE AF stamp on the wind-flap. Back then the jackets where available in size 42 for Maximum.

The jacket has a lable which actually says...

B3 fit pic

It doesn't get much better than this.
Long arms and shorter bodies but plenty of room to move easily. Look how soft the leather is and some curly fleece there. One jacket looks like the fleece might be brown, certainly not white. The fleece on the cuffs looks much longer than 6mm....

B-10 help!

I sent my ELC B-10 in to American Dry Cleaners for Ozone cleaning. Just to give it a freshen up.
Jacket was collected in a plastic bag and appeared fine. Brought home and hung up. Next day I took it out, planning to wear it, and it was then, I discovered a nasty dual safety pin-hole and creases in the middle of the back. Some ignoramus had tagged the jacket!
Now, some may say not to worry, but this is a £700 jacket! Besides wear & tear on the area, this has also killed any re-sale...
