Hello all. I’m wondering if any of you guys might be able to ID an A2 I am in the process of buying. It has a contract label on it but it appears the label is actually off a B3 and has roughly bee sewn on. I’ve had a look on Acme Depot but have come away none the wiser. Here’s some photos that might assist:-

Do you know the brand or age of this jacket?

VMTB-143. I won't wear patched jackets anymore but this patch is awesome. I purchased it as an "art' piece for my office. One could crinkle it up, age it if they wanted to and it would look pretty good on a jacket.

Deck Jacket Shrinking

Greetings all!
I just received a non stock Deck jacket size 44 that my Inlaws got me for Xmas. They said the Bronsons were out of stock when they ordered so they got this one.
I am super impressed with the quality. I love it. I do believe it is a tad too big.
I was wondering if I washed it in hot water and heat dried it would it shrink a lil ? I don’t need much shrinkage. Please disregard my pjs and slippers.
thank you all in advance

Is it possible to make knits more elastic (again)?

So, because I was finding my RW 23380 repro a touch short in the arms, I started looking around for ways to stretch the leather. I quickly found that leather will stretch when wet, and decided to give that a try.

The sleeves are more comfortable now, but in the process, the bottom knits got soaked, and when they dried, they had loosened up a LOT, meaning the jacket no longer has that great blousing it once had - or any blousing at all, tbh.

I figure there’s a good chance I’m going to have...

Hey fellas, not sure if this has been posted before, but Im looking at picking up an Eastman B-6 .50 Cal in the coming weeks, but there really isnt too much on the interwebs as far as detailed pics besides the ELC official pics, which look fantastic as always ;) but I was wondering how many of you guys have .50 Cal B-6s or even B-3s and have some good close ups and insights into these specific variants of jackets from Eastman, and what your thoughts are on them

Just wonder if there are any collectors of these little bells out there? There is very little information about them online. And there are so many of replicas around. Do any of you fellows out there have the knowledge to date these bells?

The .50 Cal is still around, but I decided to pull the trigger on a new Eastman Werber B-3 so I can enjoy it for a couple months. This one is a size 44 and fits MUCH better than the size 48 .50 Cal. I'd call the fit "trim"...a bit snug in the belly, but it's comfortable enough and I'm working on the belly anyway. A size 46 might be a tad more comfortable, but I'm happy with what I got. I know a lot of people are fans of the Roughwear & Perry contracts, but I'm a big fan of the very...

I ran across this on eBay last week second-hand, but basically brand new, and snapped it up. It's a size 48, and I'm not sure if Eastmans runs big, or B-3s run big, but now that I have it, I probably would've been better served by a 46 (much to my surprise/dismay). It's pretty roomy. The quality difference between this and my Aero B-6 is kind of shocking. The B-6 is a great jacket, and has served me well. Its not poorly-constructed by any means. But this thing is an Absolute Unit and is...

I scored a great set of HB-7 Headphones fitted with ANB-H-1 receivers and the red PL-354 bail out plug. (HS-33?) and it came with a black JK-26 extension plug.
The receivers are Made by SHURE Brothers, Chicago, USA

they are in great shape. the leather is still soft and plyable. they came with one original MC-162-A rubber ear pad that is also soft and plyable. too bad the other was missing but I got a post war Japan made replacement of the same MC-162-A spec that match perfectly to the...

Short A2 for Warm Climate

Looking to buy my first A2 and besides the general budget constraints most people experience before true obsession sets in, I’m also hampered by the fact that I’m shorter (under 5’8”) and live in Florida. As to climate, I’m thinking goatskin would help. As to the height, so few manufactures (absent going custom) offer short lengths. Any non-custom recommendations?

There's been a few posts about ELC's 23rd Ftr Grp lately and since I had nothing better to do on a Saturday night, I figured I'd share a few pictures of mine. I bought it in 2014 and babied it like crazy the first couple of years until I took Tim's advice and started to really wear it, in any kind of weather, doing any kind of work or chore (well, nearly, not wearing it laying under the car :)) The patches look pretty much the way they did when new, I love the way they were aged (they...
