Real McCoys NZ M455 before they closed up shop. This jacket is superb in its fit, materials and construction. Shearling is a little lighter than a B3 making it a very usable jacket, and it also comes with huge leather patch pockets, another plus over a B3. Shearling is in top condition no loss of fleece, and is that beautiful golden colour. Leather pockets and diamond sleeve protectors are in great shape. No fleece...

If it's got the coyote collar, what do you do? Will dry cleaning damage it?

Hi guys, can anyone give me any info on this? I've only seen them before tagged up in Lockheed patches. I'd be keen to know anything about it.

Has anybody washed theirs in cold water, did it shrink at all
Mine fits perfectly and any shrinkage would make it too tight.

In the last month there were few flights and a lot of time at home.
I made these two patches on leather for my new project - plan to turn my old AVI A2 into a hump pilot jacket.
This patches were drawn by me under the impression of the photos of the hump pilot's jackets from the book American Flight Jackets, Airmen & Aircraft.

Irvin Foster G-1 from 1963

I just bought this Irvin B Foster G-1 jacket on ebay, B series from 1963 so it should be real goat and mouton collar, it seems in good conditions, below are pics from the auction as it is still in travel toward Italy. A guy from another forum told me that he zip fitted on it was probably shorter than the jacket, so it was stretched to the length, then it shrank over time, causing the 'pull' on the right hand panel, and it's proof of how-make-do-and-mend the construction of these things was...

Hello everyone, I just recently joined the forum and have a question about the fit of a G-1 Jacket that I’ve recently purchased from Cockpit USA, It’s certainly a wonderful piece that I love wearing and got a lot of compliments on it for the most part. However a few have said that it looks a bit too a short on me and was just wondering what you guys think, for my next purchase should I get a long size? And if there’s anything else you’d like to add besides the length please let me know your...

Thought I'd make an observation...
As I'm pretty sure many of you do also, I keep regular tabs on what's going for sale on Ebay, and the sale and classifieds pages of the top repro makers. Just in case...
What I've noticed, is that there are regularly Eastmans, Goodwears and Aero's to be found, but very few Bill Kelso's.
Sure there have been one or two on occasion, but very few compared to the others... All of these makers have been around a while and have made a prolific number of jackets...

Is it possible to make knits more elastic (again)?

So, because I was finding my RW 23380 repro a touch short in the arms, I started looking around for ways to stretch the leather. I quickly found that leather will stretch when wet, and decided to give that a try.

The sleeves are more comfortable now, but in the process, the bottom knits got soaked, and when they dried, they had loosened up a LOT, meaning the jacket no longer has that great blousing it once had - or any blousing at all, tbh.

I figure there’s a good chance I’m going to have...

Don't think I have posted many pics of my old Werber B-2. Butter soft and as new. Love the colour on this jacket. Rarer, Werber labelled version.
